* For once Paul Esslinger isn't directly involved a council-related controversy, but Kent Monte feels obligated to make this story as much about Esslinger as it is about Bain or Wollangk (Note to Monte: reminding everyone what a polarizing figure Esslinger is, especially when there really is no reason to do so, isn't doing him any favors).
* Miles Maguire has been holding court on the matter since before the Wollangk Question became "Don't Ban Bain." Thus far Maguire seems to have had the most level-headed of opinions about how to move forward, one that looks eerily similar to this editorial that ran in today's NW.
* The official NW line is that the city needs more "expectations" from the City Manager position in the future, which is a very polite way of saying "Show him the door."
* Stephen Hintz takes to the NW to ask "Just what the hell is going on here?"
* Cheryl Hentz does likewise at here blog.
* And there are letters (sacks and sacks of letters...) to the NW decrying the stupidity of lawyers, claiming that Bain's civil rights have been violated, and outlining mismanagement of the city government.
I think it's safe to say that the town's chattering classes have gone apoplectic.
