So if John Demjanjuk is on trial for helping out the Nazis at the Sobibor Death Camp, why isn't Philip Bialowitz also on trial for helping out the Nazis at the Sobibor Death Camp?Does he really need the difference between a Nazi prison guard and a Jewish prisoner coerced into forced labor explained to him?

Yes.
Demjanjuk was never a Nazi (you can review the Nazi membership requirements on this history professor's site: http://web.jjay.cuny.edu/~jobrien/reference/ob79.html ). He was a Ukrainian who was forced to serve in the Soviet army, captured by the Germans, and put in a prisoner of war camp. He was no less a prisioner of the Germans than was Philip Bialowitz. If it was okay for Bialowitz to cooperate to save his skin, why was it not okay for Demjanjuk? If we say the difference is that one is Jewish and one is not, how are we any better than the Nazis?
Sykes says Demjanjuk is brilliant, or McMahon?
