A Curious Mystery

I don't really know what to say about this piece since it's still ongoing:

Alan M. Flatoff was found his kitchen floor Wednesday morning by his wife, Vicki Flatoff, and was subsequently pronounced dead by Portage County Coroner Scott Rifleman. Rifleman and law enforcement officials said there were no signs of foul play.

[...]

On Saturday, Flatoff reported that 54-year-old Raymond Ninneman had called Flatoff and threatened to kill him. Flatoff, a self-employed carpenter, previously had hired Ninneman to build a deck at Flatoff's home.

"(Ninneman) threatened to come to (Flatoff's) residence with a 20-gauge shotgun and said that 'only one of us would be leaving the residence,'" said Portage County Assistant District Attorney David Knaapen at Ninneman's bond hearing earlier this week. Ninneman was arrested Saturday night for bail jumping, threats to injure, resisting/obstructing an officer, disorderly conduct and trespass to a dwelling after he reportedly showed up at Flatoff's house and then fled the scene after police were called.

[...]

According to Portage County Jail staff, Ninneman returned to jail Tuesday for violating conditions of his probation. Law enforcement officials say he is not a suspect in the death investigation.

Weird ...
