What does Alan Keyes Offer the GOP?

Not much. He's black, so the Republican party can shrug off accusations of being too white. Ideologically,

Keyes calls himself a "declarationist" and has said that judges should interpret the constitution as it was written and in light of the "self-evident" truths contained within the Declaration of Independence.

Bold move, Alan. I'm sure that ideology just needs an effective spokesman to bring it to the masses. But while we're waiting for Declarationism's Ronald Reagan, the GOP might want to ask itself if it needs another "family values" candidate with a history of ignoring his own family.
