Hot Doggy

Takeryu Kobayashi defends his honor against Joey Chestnut at the Famous Nathan's Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island.
"The New York Times is covering the event like it covers the New York Yankees."
As well they should: Takeru Kobayashi -- the Sadaharu Oh of competative eating -- is facing serious competition from Joey Chestnut this year.

In other Coney Island-related news, the Cyclone is 80 years old this year.

For anyone who's never been to Coney Island, you have a few months to get there to catch the place in the summer time before redevelopment starts. For all the shit the place has gotten in recent decades for being at the wrong end of Brooklyn there is always the possibility of being there on a day that is nothing short of amazing.
