The Symbolism of MRAPS

A Marine Corps general suggests that the hype surrounding the MRAP development will make them "symbolic" targets when they are rolled out into the field. That's may be true, but it's a good bet that if the armor can withstand an IED attack, chances are good that it will also sustain an attack on the MRAP's status as a possible metaphor.
