Does the "Joe the Plumber Spirit" Include Ingratitude?

Last week Kathy Carpenter wrote an embarrassing post on what she referred to as the "Joe the Plumber Spirit":

Joe the Plumber's spirit of individuality, determination and hard work will rise again. I believe it, just like Ronald Reagan believed it.

Did Reagan believe this spirit also included being a huge dick?
